Bread
A bread recipe I grabbed off of the back of a box of dried yeast from Tesco.

Ingredients
- 500g Strong white bread flour
- 1tsp fine salt
- ~7g dried yeast
- 1tbsp caster sugar
- 25ml vegetable oil
- 300ml warm water
Recipe
-
Combine the flour, salt, yeast and sugar in a lage bowl.
-
Gradually add the oil and water to the flour, mixing until you have a soft dough.
-
Knead the dough on a greased surface for about 10 minutes until it's elastic and smooth.
-
Place in a large greased bowl, cover with cling film and leave it to rise for 1 hour.
-
Knead the dough again for 5 minutes, then shape into a log and place in a greased 900g load tin (approx. 22 x 11cm)
-
Cover loosely with oiled cling film and leave to rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
-
Pre-heat oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6.
-
Uncover and score a line down the centre of the dough with a sharp knife, then bake for 30-35mins. The loaf should sound hollow when tapped on the base.
-
Remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack.
